Peter Callaghan was previously a proprietor and Headteacher of a co-educational independent preparatory school for over twenty years. He serves as Director of the Schools' Division of the Centre for Advanced Studies in London as well as a consultant to the City of London College. Research interests include Leaders and Leadership in education at doctorate level at the University of Birmingham. During the past four years he has worked with a wide range of clients in enabling them to meet a wide range of challenges including:

• ensuring their schools are managed as effective and efficient educatioinal businesses
• compliance with both statutory and good practice procedures in relation to education, personnel and duty of care including health and safety
• expanding the business by using facilities and staff skills to maximum advantage along with increasing the opportunities for both full and part-time students
• enabling Headteachers and senior management teams to prepare their SEF's for inspection purposes and for school improvement.
